Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Licensing Auditor to join a leading enterprise-level telecommunications company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring software assets are accurately tracked, fully compliant with vendor agreements, and optimized for cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in software asset management, complex audit processes, and enterprise-scale inventory and vendor management.
This is a Direct Hire. This role requires the ability to sit onsite in Greenwood Village, CO, St Louis, MO, or Charlotte, North Carolina 4 days a week with 1 remote day of flexibility allowed. This role is offering a salary range of 100-156k. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end software licensing audits with major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe).
- Analyze software usage data to identify compliance risks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams, business stakeholders, and legal to ensure licensing compliance.
- Maintain and optimize Software Asset Management (SAM) tools and processes.
- Develop and enforce policies for software license tracking, procurement, and renewals.
- Prepare audit documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in licensing terms and proactively assess impact on the organization.
- Support contract negotiations with data-driven insights and licensing expertise.

Skills and Requirements
- Advanced experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) tools (e.g., Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow).
- Proven track record managing complex software audits in large enterprise environments.
- Strong business analysis skills with the ability to interpret licensing agreements and usage data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and pivot tables.
- Experience managing large-scale server inventories and working with major software vendors.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and project coordination abilities. - Certifications such as CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or ITIL.
- Experience with cloud licensing models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
- Project Management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
