    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Data Engineer to support the Information Systems department at one of our largest oil and gas clients in Houston, TX. This person will mainly be working in Oracle database and working in some MemSQL and MySQL as well. This person is mainly working on the database queries, creating new stored procedures and debugging existing stored procedures, existing queries and existing jobs. The jobs will be on oracle or python. The first month or two will be getting acclimated to the application and supporting it and then will move into development. This person will need experience with python and FastAPI to create microservices to enter date on UI. This role will be at an hourly rate of $48-57/hr. This position is also 5 days a week onsite.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer

     

    - Experience working in Oracle database

     

    - Experience working in MemSQL and MySQL database

     

    - Experience using Python for creating API’s

     

    - Experience creating stored procedures, database queries, debugging existing stored procedures and jobs

     

    - Experience with FastAPI
