Summary This job opportunity is for an GROUP SUPERINTENDENT, position description D2397000, within the of the 108th MSG New Jersey National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal advisor to the group commander for enlisted and other operational matters. Responsibilities As aGROUP SUPERINTENDENT ,GS -0301-11, you will: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises the group commander on assigned program areas of responsibility. Advises, carries out, and monitors the Group Commander's organizational policies, programs, and standards applicable to the enlisted force. Develops, participates, and provides guidance in planning, publicizing, and administering ANG enlisted awards, recognition and promotion programs. Serves as the commanders representative at staff meetings and councils and when conducting tours through group areas. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Areas of consideration: CAT 4, Individuals eligible for membership in the New Jersey Air National Guard Security Clearance Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Military Grade: MIN- SMSgt E/ (promotable to E-9) to MAX CMSgt/ E-9 Must attend the ANG CMSgt Orientations Course within a year Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position. *Military Unit* -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. Must have the following experiences: Applying principles of organization, management, and administration Using computer and automation systems Specialized Experiences Do you have 36 months of the following Specialized Experiences? Must have the following experiences: Program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Developing and recommending policy Organizing and carrying out specific programs Evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations Supervisory, staff or technical work, applying practices and procedures Study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies Preparing written communications and oral presentations Education Must have an associate degree from a nationally accredited academic institution. Additional Information Security Clearance Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment.
