Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural** **hospital located** **in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions
Requirements:
+ HS diploma or equivalent required
+ One year experience in central sterilization or hospital related field that would provide a background in medical terminology, sterile technique, or applied medical supplies and equipment preferred
+ Possess good communication skills and contribute to completing the required work of the team
+ Possess good decision-making skills, organizational skills, and able to adapt to change and flexibility
+ Detail oriented
Schedule:
+ 72 hours per pay period
+ 4-9 hour variable day/evening shifts Mon-Fri
+ Mon-Fri shifts vary from 6:30a-7p
+ On-call week nights - 1 night per week when fully staffed
+ Every 5th weekend on-call when fully staffed
+ On-call holiday rotation
+ The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
