In this position...
The EDS Systems Supervisor leads the development and release of vehicle wiring solutions—oversee logical and physical schematic development in E3, approve device transmittals, maintain vehicle EDS topology, and select wire sizing/type/color and inline connectors to meet EDS, quality, and cost targets. Collaborates with Systems Integration and CAE engineers to define CAE workplans and vehicle partitioning, resolve “Not Met” CAE analyses, perform pin to pin and dual harness compatibility reviews, support engineering breadboards and Phase I ECAR work, and drive re design verification while mentoring engineers and coordinating cross functional delivery.
What you'll do...
Lead and supervise wiring systems engineers, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members to meet quality, cost and timing targets.
Develop and support logical schematics and create physical schematics using E3.
Select wire sizing, wire type, color, and option coding to satisfy EDS requirements, quality objectives, and cost targets.
Approve device transmittals.
Define CAE workplans with Systems Integration and CAE engineers and lead resolution of “Not Met” CAE analyses.
Perform inline pin-to-pin compatibility reviews and dual-harness (dual harness complexity) analyses.
Collaborate on vehicle partitioning with EDS Design Team and leads selection and specification of inline connectors.
Create and maintain vehicle EDS topology
Work with EDS engineers to assess complexity and optimize giveaway strategies.
Support engineering breadboards and prototype activities to validate wiring solutions.
Drive development of Phase I of the ECAR matrix.
Execute re-design verification for engineering changes to ensure compliance and manufacturability.
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
5 or more years of direct experience with automotive EDS.
Vehicle launch experience
In-depth knowledge of vehicle program design process and E/E systems
Excellent program management skills, mentoring skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
Strong English Proficiency (written, read, and oral).
