Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Job overview and responsibilities
Reporting to Sr. Manager – Component Overhaul and Repair, responsible for leadership of all Technical Operations activities during all shifts of work in the Component Maintenance Overhaul and Repair Composite shop, ensuring the highest levels of safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance while maintaining a strong focus on product and process improvement, cost control, productivity and team building. Support Senior Manager to plan and actively execute the daily plan within Component Maintenance Overhaul and Repair. Works closely with direct reports and labor to insure optimal productivity and a Working Together culture.
+ Provide leadership and direction to organization including labor workforce to maximize productivity and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements while ensuring necessary resources are available
+ Build / reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA work rules and company policies
+ Mentoring and coaching Production Supervisors to become effective and confident leaders
+ Execute performance goals and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals
+ Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety and human resource related performance objectives
+ Responsible for shift production, status and turnover
+ Ensure safety and security of aircraft operations. Interface with regulatory authorities
+ Ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities on local basis
+ Participate in the development and executing the tactical plans to implement strategy
+ Maintain a high level of communication with all levels and employee groups
+ Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to Component Maintenance Overhaul and Repair Leadership Team while providing direction to the shop to ensure divisional objectives are achieved
+ Identify key issues needing to be addressed and assign projects where applicable
+ Meets or exceeds operational performance goals
+ Meets or exceeds business plan objectives
+ Builds and maintains professional and productive work environment for labor groups and management teams
+ Effectively communicates with employees
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
+ BS / BA in Aviation Management, Engineering or related field/comparable experience
+ 3 years in a leadership role within a large maintenance organization supervising a unionized labor workforce
+ Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and maintenance programs
+ Strong Background and technical knowledge of composite repairs, sheet metal repairs and sheet metal fabrication
+ LEAN/Continuous Improvement experience
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
+ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
+ FAA A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate with sheet metal and composite repairs privileges
The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $142,936.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
