+ Hours - Days with flexibility to meet with staff on all shifts
+ Schedule - Monday thru Friday
+ Job Duties: Phlebotomy supervisor is responsible for coaching, developing, and supervising the staff in the inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy areas. The ancillary supervisor also sits on committees and provides subject matter expert advice in conjunction with others in the BJC laboratory system. This role will also review productivity, quality metrics, and operational goals of this team.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Responsible for managing daily operations (equipment, workflow, service levels, procedures) and staff (first level supervision, scheduling, coaching, staff development, etc) within regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
+ Supervises laboratory activities to ensure that procedures are performed promptly, accurately, and precisely according to department and hospital policies and procedures.
+ May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
+ Schedules staff and assign work to ensure that laboratory procedures are performed promptly proficiently, and accurately. (When necessary the supervisor is expected to perform tasks routinely assigned to direct reports.)
