    Description:

    **_Position Purpose:_** Manage and control the engineering and plant operations of Providence Place and Mary’s Meadow, including the power plant, physical properties and equipment maintenance; repair and operation of systems and Facility services; capital planning and projects; safety/risk operations and technical support to the Executive Director. Also provides support to the Sisters of Providence Congregation properties and cemetery.

    _What you will do:_

    • Direct staff and contractors in maintenance, renovations, construction, and equipment operations.

    • Assist in contract negotiations and property evaluations.

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory codes (Mass DPH, DMH, DPS, Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA).

    • Collaborate on infection control and air quality systems.

    • Lead safety/risk programs, drills, and policy development.

    • Oversee housekeeping, laundry, purchasing, and maintenance operations.

    • Provide strategic leadership and operational planning.

    • Manage budgets and procurement.

    • Mentor and evaluate staff performance.

    • Participate in training and ensure policy compliance.

    • Respond to occupational exposures and emergencies.

    • Maintain knowledge of laws, ethics, and disaster recovery plans.

    _Minimum Qualifications:_

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

    • 10+ years in healthcare facility management preferred.

    • Strong knowledge of public health, building design, and plant services regulations.

    • Action-oriented, customer-focused, and adaptable.

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

    • High personal accountability and decision-making ability.

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to research, analyze, and prioritize workload.
