    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    + Develop, direct, supervise and coordinate a staff knowledgeable in manufacturing processes to minimize product cost and maximize manufacturing efficiency.

    + Communicate and work closely with Advanced Mfg., Plant Management, Materials Manager, Quality Manager, Design Engineering, and Safety on projects and assignments.

    + Provide estimates of manufacturing costs for new products, equipment, tooling and processes.

    + Assign personnel to advise and evaluate processes for effects on cost, quality, throughput and capacity.

    + Ability to lead project types that include: Maintaining current manufacturing processes, grow and improve process capacity and capabilities within the plant, maintain continuous improvement projects and develop capital appropriation projects.

    + Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.

    + Position supports Plant 4 manufacturing processes and other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    + 5-7 years related experience.

    + Associate degree (Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial or related experience).

    + Basic understanding of industrial type process/equipment that supports different types of fabrication, welding, machining, plastics, robotics, electronics, painting and assembly is recommended.

    + Knowledge of SPC, Lean and Six Sigma principles are a plus.

    + Strong leadership, good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
