Job Summary
CVS Health is leading a multi-year transformation to redefine its Price & Value strategy across the Front Store. We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Director to drive the roadmap, capability development, and delivery of initiatives that modernize pricing, promotion, assortment, inventory, and personalization. This role will serve as the senior business lead across workstreams, partnering with engineering, analytics, and cross-functional teams to ensure business needs are embedded in scalable technology and processes that shape the future-state operating model.
Key Responsibilities
Capability Development
+ **Transformation Roadmap Ownership** Define and evolve the multi-year Price & Value transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer experience, financial goals, and enterprise strategy.
+ **Capability Design & Delivery** Serve as the business lead driving the definition and delivery of scalable, future-ready capabilities in partnership with engineering and analytics teams. Ensure business needs are clearly articulated and translated into functional requirements that guide solution development. Collaborate closely to validate that capabilities address real business problems and are designed for usability, scalability, and impact across pricing, promotion, and coupon modernization efforts.
+ **Technology Architecture Leadership** Serve as a strategic business partner in shaping the future-state technology architecture and operating model. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure business needs are clearly represented in technical design decisions. Provide input on capability requirements, user experience expectations, and operational workflows to help guide architectural choices that enable scalable, integrated solutions.
+ **Adoption & Training** Drive the strategic enablement, adoption and optimization of AI tools and platforms and processes, including driving change management and training initiatives. Develop communication plans, training strategies, and feedback loops to ensure successful implementation and sustained engagement.
+ **Cross-Initiative Integration** Strategically connect Price & Value efforts with other Retail initiatives such as assortment, inventory, and personalization to ensure cohesive execution and maximize enterprise value.
+ **Market Intelligence & Investment Strategy** Continuously monitor macro and micro retail trends to inform strategic pivots, prioritize capability investments, and maintain competitive advantage.
Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Lead the business prioritization of capabilities, epics, and features across analytics, engineering, and merchandising domains.
+ Establish and manage routines to track progress against KPIs, including financial impact, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
+ Provide regular updates to senior leadership, highlighting successes, risks, and strategic recommendations.
Required Qualifications
+ 10+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, product management, or business operations leadership roles.
+ Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in retail, CPG, or digital environments.
+ Demonstrated expertise in advanced algorithm techniques, including optimization, machine learning, and predictive modeling, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact.
+ Experience with agile product development and capability roadmap management.
+ Strong executive presence and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in retail, CPG, or health & wellness sectors.
+ Familiarity with enterprise architecture and workflow automation.
+ Prior involvement in capability design or transformation programs
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
