Job Title: Civil Project EngineerJob Description

The Project Engineer will independently lead engineering tasks and guide a team that may include staff engineers and CAD Designers. Reporting to a Project Manager, this role involves preparing site designs, utility systems, and hydrology/hydraulic calculations while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include producing drawings and specifications, supporting construction activities, and mentoring junior staff. The Project Engineer also assists with proposals, attends public meetings, and ensures compliance with zoning and industry regulations. Strong communication, technical expertise, and leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

+ Independently lead engineering tasks and guide a team of staff engineers and CAD Designers.

+ Prepare site designs, utility systems, and hydrology/hydraulic calculations.

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce drawings and specifications.

+ Support construction activities and mentor junior staff.

+ Assist with proposals and attend public meetings.

+ Ensure compliance with zoning and industry regulations.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Okemos, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
