Job Title: Distillation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Distillation Technician responsible for operating and overseeing equipment used in the distillation process. The role involves distillation of target compounds and batches from specified raw materials, ensuring temperature accuracy, and maintaining comprehensive batch records in compliance with GMP and SOPs. You will also perform product inspections, provide samples for quality control, and accurately record various data points.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and oversee distillation equipment.

+ Perform distillation of target compounds and batches from specified raw materials.

+ Check temperatures and complete batch records per GMP and SOPs.

+ Complete necessary calculations and perform product inspections.

+ Provide samples for quality control testing.

+ Record data points accurately and input information into the tracking system.

+ Comply with best practices and standard operating procedures.

+ Continuously improve processes.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in distillation, purification, compounding, and batch making.

+ Understanding of fractional and steam distillation processes.

+ Proficiency in chemical handling and mixing.

+ Ability to work in a GMP environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of a high school degree with strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to learn unique and detail-specific processes.

+ Comfortable using a computer for data entry.

+ Previous experience in distillation preferred.

Work Environment

The role is in an independent work environment requiring the ability to manage calculations and documentation for product specifications. Attention to detail is crucial for data entry into the internal tracking system. The position is within a manufacturing setting, typically wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and involves working with expensive ingredients. The company culture is family-oriented with a 'work hard, play hard' attitude, encouraging straightforward communication and interaction across various levels.

The shift hours are from 4am to 12:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
