    The department of Compliance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Regulatory Compliance Data Specialist 2 to work onsite on the UHealth campus. The Regulatory Compliance Data Specialist 2 - Central (H) supports the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices. Key responsibilities include performing proactive and reactive data analysis using various techniques to assess compliance program effectiveness. This role assists other areas of the compliance team in drafting and analyzing reports for current investigations, inquiries, and administrative meetings. The incumbent is also responsible for the maintenance of compliance systems. The incumbent assists with aspects of the internal and external auditing processes.

    CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

    + Performs data analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining.

    + Performs ad-hoc analyses and reporting to facilitate compliance projects. May build dashboards or reporting systems for end users pertaining to assigned project(s).

    + Provides data interpretation, such as identifying trends or patterns of data sets.

    + Identifies opportunities to enhance data collection and analysis.

    + Assists in developing or implementing systems to capture compliance effectiveness.

    + Maintains compliance software systems.

    + Assists in the development, training, and education of staff members.

    + Maintains current knowledge of applicable regulatory topics.

    + Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets

    CORE QUALIFICATIONS

    Required:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

    + Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

     

    Preferred

     

    + HCCA or AHIA certification

    + Epic proficiency or certification

    Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

    + Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.

    + Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.

    + Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks to meet key deadlines.

    + Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, Power BI)

     

    Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
