    Description

    We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves comprehensive accounting tasks for multiple clients across various industries. The role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity, inviting applicants who are skilled in managing accounts, reconciling bank statements, and utilizing Quickbooks online.

    Responsibilities:

    • Handle full cycle accounting for multiple clients

    • Utilize Quickbooks online to maintain and update accounting records

    • Understand and manage the interconnection of books

    • Responsible for month-end close activities and preparing Journal Entries (JE's)

    • Prepare and present financial statements

    • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

    • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy

    • Maintain the General Ledger and ensure its accuracy

    • Perform month-end close procedures, including the preparation of financial reports

    • Conduct Journal Entries as required.

    Requirements

    • Must hold at least 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

    • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

    • Experience in Bank Reconciliations is essential

    • Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance is required

    • Familiarity with Journal Entries preparation and management

    • Experience with Month End Close procedures

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    • Demonstrable ability to handle confidential information

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

    • CPA or CMA certification is a plus

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
