Description

Robert Half is seeking a skilled contract Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team in Bloomfield, CT. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading organization in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in General Ledger accounting and Reconciliation, with demonstrated experience working in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and perform general ledger reconciliations.

+ Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

+ Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

+ Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.

+ Support inventory accounting and cost analysis processes.

+ Aid in internal and external audits.

+ Prepare financial reports and variance analyses.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

+ Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to enhance financial accuracy.

+ Identify opportunities for improvement in accounting processes and controls.

Requirements Previous accounting experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and Reconciliation practices. Proficiency in accounting software and systems; advanced Excel skills are a plus. Knowledge of GAAP principles and ability to ensure compliance. Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
