    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on equipment. This includes tasks such as handling hydraulics, replacing ball screws, and rebuilding gear boxes. You will utilize your electrical troubleshooting skills by reading multimeters, troubleshooting contacts, relays, proximity switches, and photo eyes. Additionally, you will troubleshoot 3 Phase motors up to 480V and handle the wiring and rebuilding of any motor utilized in the plant. When not performing repairs, you will engage in preventative maintenance or enhance your skills in troubleshooting robotics with the tools provided by the company.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mechanical troubleshooting, including hydraulics and gear box rebuilding.

    + Conduct electrical troubleshooting using multimeters, contacts, relays, and more.

    + Troubleshoot and manage 3 Phase motors up to 480V.

    + Engage in preventative maintenance activities.

    + Train on troubleshooting robotics with provided tools.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience.

    + 1+ year of electrical troubleshooting experience on 3 Phase Motors 480V, Proximity Switches, contacts, and relays.

    + 1+ year of hydraulic troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of PLC's/ladder logic or ability to read inputs/outputs.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a non-temperature controlled automotive manufacturing plant. The environment is fast-paced and professional, with work highly monitored for pace. Expect training on the first shift, lasting between 3-9 months. The shift schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a rotating weekly schedule. During the summer, the plant can become extremely hot.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $35.00/hr.
