    Job Title: Set Up Technician

    Job Description

    We are currently seeking two dedicated Set Up Technicians to join our team. The positions are available for one candidate on the first shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, and another who will train on the first shift and then transition to the second shift. This role involves on-the-job training for specific CNC machinery, performing set-ups and changeovers, and minor troubleshooting on CNC mills and lathes. A mechanical aptitude is essential as you will be the first line of defense with operators if any issues arise with the machines.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform set-ups and changeovers on CNC lathes and mills.

    + Learn and operate various types of CNC machinery within the facility.

    + Troubleshoot minor issues on CNC mills and lathes.

    + Assist operators and get hands-on with machinery when needed.

    + Conduct run-offs to ensure machinery is working correctly.

    + Utilize hand and power tools effectively.

    + Adapt to new challenges and learn new skills daily.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in CNC Lathe set-up (experience with mills is acceptable, but lathe experience is required).

    + Proficiency in CNC changeovers.

    + Ability to operate CNC machines.

    + Competence in reading blueprints and part prints.

    + Knowledge of changing speeds, feeds, and ensuring tolerances.

    + Skillful use of hand and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.

    + Background in working with injection molders, CNC machinery, drills, or presses.

    + Demonstrated ability to tinker with or disassemble mechanical objects.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be working in a medium-sized manufacturing company specializing in automotive and agriculture parts, alongside 50-60 employees. The facility is clean and undergoing continual upgrades. Dress code includes jeans, a shirt, closed-toe shoes, and necessary eye and ear protection. One earbud is allowed while working, provided you can still hear others and the machines. The company maintains strict attendance policies, and while overtime is rare, it may occasionally be required.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
