    Job Title: Quality Inspector

    Job Description

    The Quality Inspector will work in the quality lab, inspecting parts made from various materials such as steel, aluminum, and plastic. The role involves completing documentation, using a Zeiss CMM and Keyence inspection system, and programming and operating these systems efficiently. The inspector will manage the calibration of measuring/testing equipment and maintain accurate documentation. Experience in the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is required, as well as providing assistance within receiving inspection and documenting within the ERP system.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect parts made from materials like steel, aluminum, and plastic.

    + Complete necessary documentation accurately.

    + Program and operate Zeiss CMM and Keyence inspection systems.

    + Manage and document calibration of measuring/testing equipment.

    + Handle Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

    + Assist in receiving inspection and document within the ERP system.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with PC-Dmis or other quality software.

    + Direct experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

    + Calibration experience.

    + Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.

    + Ability to complete documentation.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1+ year of experience with PC-Dmis preferred.

    + 1+ year of experience with programming Optical Inspection systems (OGP, Nikon, Keyence) required.

    + CMM programming experience.

    + Keyence system experience.

    The work environment is a 60-person machine shop focusing on the Aerospace industry, featuring a machining area, quality lab, and painting booth. The position offers a flexible 1st shift schedule, available on a Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday basis.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
