    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team where safety is a priority, as you operate complex production equipment, manufacturing software, and tools to manufacture and package a variety of products. You will follow digital work instructions, blueprints, and diagrams to meet product and customer specifications while ensuring tolerance levels are adhered to.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.

    + Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to ensure adherence to production specifications.

    + Report malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.

    + Set up and operate a wide range of machine tools, including mill-turns, mills, lathes, grinders, and powder presses.

    + Align and secure tooling, holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.

    + Write and modify programs for Robot and Vision Systems.

    + Read blueprints and set and check work to various quality control gauges.

    + Use Keyance, Optical Guide Post (OGP), and Optical Comparator for advanced quality checks.

    + Troubleshoot operating errors and adjust programs in PLC to meet specifications.

    + Confer with engineering and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.

    + Complete all necessary documentation and electronic data entries accurately and timely.

    + Inspect machined products using precision gaging to ensure quality specifications are met.

    + Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

    + Support Lean Enterprise initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.

    + Modify existing equipment and assist in designing new equipment for process improvement.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical assembly.

    + Experience with lathe and mill machining.

    + Ability to use calipers and other precision measuring tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience running CNC machines is preferred.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LA VERGNE, Tennessee.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
