    3rd Shift - $23

    Job Description

    The Corrugator Forklift Operator/Shipper is responsible for routing and transporting loads of corrugated board from the Corrugator using powered and/or gravity conveyors and operating a fork truck.

    Responsibilities

    + Route units of finished sheets to the unitizer or loads of in-process board to the converting department.

    + Transport loads on powered or gravity conveyor or move loads with a fork truck.

    + Insert Finished Goods Load Tags or In-process Tags into loads with a fork truck.

    + Operate the bander to unitize units of finished sheets and some in-process loads.

    + Inspect the quality of the loads from the corrugator and remove defective sheets from loads.

    + Maintain good housekeeping and finished sheets storage areas at the corrugator.

    + Stack and store units as required.

    + Load orders onto trailers as required.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Forklift operation, specifically sit-down forklift experience.

    + Experience in a production environment.

    + At least 3 months of sit-down forklift experience.

    + Ability to read and comprehend simple English instructions.

    + Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    + Basic computer skills to input production information into the system.

    + Experience in material handling, loading, and shipping.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment can be a bit warm during the summer months. Employees are expected to be prepared for this condition. Appropriate attire includes steel toe shoes, for which a credit is provided.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.47 - $24.47/hr.
