Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance on all machinery. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing motors, conveyors, bailers, printers, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and gear shafts. The position is primarily mechanical with some electrical responsibilities. Candidates will also handle motor replacements, utilize schematics and blueprints, and work with voltages up to 480V. General facility maintenance, MIG welding, and fabrication are also part of the job.

$28-32 an hour

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery.

+ Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, bailers, printers, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and gear shafts.

+ Conduct motor replacements and work with voltages up to 480V.

+ Utilize schematics and blueprints for maintenance tasks.

+ Perform general facility maintenance as needed.

+ Execute welding (MIG) and fabrication tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of maintenance mechanic experience.

+ Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.

+ Experience working with voltages up to 480V.

+ Possess own tools.

+ Basic electrical knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.

+ PLC experience.

+ experience in paper industry.

Work Environment

The work environment is on the production floor, which is clean and organized. The facility's temperature varies with the seasons, being warmer in summer and cooler in winter. The position offers openings for both night and day shifts, operating on a 2-2-3 schedule from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. or 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a Permanent position based out of Alsip, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $68640.00/yr.
