    Job Details

    Position Summary:

    The EKG Technician is responsible for performing high-quality electrocardiograms (EKGs) on adult, pediatric, and infant patients throughout the hospital, including inpatient units, the Emergency Department, and outpatient settings. This role ensures accurate diagnostic testing and timely communication of results to support patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    + Perform routine and STAT EKGs on patients of all age groups in various hospital departments.

    + Ensure accurate patient identification and proper electrode placement for optimal test results.

    + Maintain cleanliness and functionality of EKG equipment and related supplies.

    + Accurately document and label all EKG tracings and enter data into the hospital’s electronic medical record system.

    + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure timely

     

    and efficient testing.

     

    + Respond promptly to emergency situations requiring immediate EKG testing.

    + Adhere to company policies, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines.

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + Minimum of six (6) months of experience in all phases of EKG testing.

    + Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred.

    + Current BLS certification required :

    + American Heart Association: BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED)

    + Note: Online-only CPR certifications will not be accepted.

     

    Salary Range

     

    USD $23.48 - USD $24.78 /Hr.

     

    This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
