    Grant Thornton is seeking a University Recruiting Associate to join the team in the Newport Beach, CA office.

     

    Working in a challenging, high volume, fast-paced environment, the University Recruiting Associate assists in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the entry-level talent acquisition process and helps implement strategies to identify, attract, and hire high quality, diverse employees for the region from top colleges and universities.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate the overall university recruitment function within the local office in conjunction with input from the Managing Partner, Practice Leaders, Campus Champions and Regional University Recruiting Leads.

    + Fill local office entry-level hiring needs and goals based upon business plans in conjunction with local office leadership and Campus Champions.

    + Coordinate and facilitate all logistics associated with hosting on-campus activities at target schools, including scheduling and conducting interviews and arranging information sessions, activities, presentations with key clubs and organizations (i.e., BAP, NABA chapters), etc.

    + Coordinate all logistics surrounding the office visit process, including final round interview days, office sell events, open houses, etc.

    + Build and maintain relationships with target candidates as well as business partners, including all levels of employees/partners, university officials, clubs and organizations (i.e. BAP chapters), faculty members, department heads, etc.

    + Provide periodic reporting and status updates on the progress of university recruiting to the Regional Human Resource Director, Regional University Recruiting Lead, Campus Champions and local office leadership.

    + Solicit feedback from local office leadership on matters pertaining to university recruiting.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or Accounting.

    + 2+ years experience in university recruiting or administrative support of recruiting.

    + Experience working in a public accounting firm in a plus.

    + Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines, exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients.

    + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

    + Strong administrative skills, documentation skills, and detail-orientation and a demonstrated proficiency with reporting tools and databases.

    + Travel is required.

     

    The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Newport Beach, CA office only is between $73,400 and $110,160 per year.

    + Benefits for internship positions: Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. Interns also receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave and are paid for firm holidays that fall within their internship period.
