    Position Summary

    The Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting our dental providers in delivering high-quality dental care. This position involves assisting with a variety of dental procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for our patients.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide chair-side assistance to dentists, hygienists, and residents during dental procedures.

    + Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.

    + Assist with patient record management and charting.

    + Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care.

    + Handle emergency dental situations as needed.

    + Operate digital X-ray equipment and process dental radiographs.

    + Assist with laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming study models.

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs.

    + Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor towards patients.

    Work Schedule:

    Dental Assistants are scheduled to work, Mondays & Tuesdays 11:30am – 8:30pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays 8:30am – 5:30pm, Fridays 8am – 5pm.

    Qualifications

    + Dental Assistant Diploma/License

    + Current CPR certification

    + Strong computer skills

    + Minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient clinical setting

    + Experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and people living with HIV/AIDS
