    Cognizant is looking to hire an experienced API automation with playwright to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable test frameworks and automation architecture Work model: Hybrid

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4-5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Hartford, CT.     **Job Location:** Hartford, CT

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

    • Establish the overall quality assurance strategy aligned with business goals and technical architecture.

    • Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable test frameworks and automation architectures.

    • Lead the development of automation frameworks for functional, performance, security, and regression testing.

    • Review test code and enforce best practices in test automation and software quality.

    • Guide QA engineers and testers, providing technical leadership and mentoring.

    • Work closely with DevOps, development, and product teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.

    • Evaluate and recommend testing tools, CI/CD integrations, and automation platforms.

    • Communicate quality metrics, risks, and test coverage to stakeholders and leadership.

    • Define and track key performance indicators for quality (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, automation ROI).

    • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal QA policies.

    • Drive initiatives for process optimization, test efficiency, and defect prevention.

    • Explore and implement AI/ML, predictive analytics, and other innovations in QA.

    • Lead PoCs for new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve QA capabilities

    These will help you stand out:

    • 6 to 10 years of experience

    • Language: Java, Python

    • Test Automation Tools: Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, Appium, etc

    • CI/CD Integration: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms

    • API Testing: Skills in Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI

    • Cloud & Containerization: Understanding of AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes for testing in cloud-native environments years.

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    The annual salary for this position is between $77,000.00 - $88,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
