Application Developer - Microsoft Analytics

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Microsoft Analytics position for our client in Jersey City, NJ.
**Duration:** 12 months
Duties:
+ Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting applications using Microsoft BI tools and products, including Power BI, Power BI Report Builder (Paginated), Power BI Embedded Services, and SSRS.
+ Write complex queries using Power Query, DAX, R, and T-SQL to extract, transform, and load data.
+ Develop and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.
+ Implement security features and ensure compliance with organizational data governance policies.
+ Optimize Microsoft Power BI dashboards for performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve BI-related issues, providing support for existing reports and dashboards.
Skills:
+ Expertise in Microsoft BI stack: Power BI, Power BI Report Builder (Paginated), Power BI Embedded, SSRS.
+ Strong SQL Server programming skills and experience with T-SQL.
+ Proficiency in writing complex queries using Power Query, DAX, and R.
+ Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization best practices.
+ Knowledge of implementing security measures in BI solutions.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
+ Ability to optimize dashboards for performance, usability, and maintainability.
Experience:
+ Proven experience as a BI Developer or Application Developer focused on Microsoft Analytics solutions.
+ Hands-on experience in designing and building Power BI dashboards and reports.
+ Experience with complex query writing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
+ Previous exposure to implementing security features in Microsoft BI solutions.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
