The Senior Supply Chain Planner is responsible for leading and executing supply planning processes. Key objectives will be managing inventory levels and turns, achieving and improving targeted customer service levels, mitigating inventory obsolescence, and partnering with purchasing to improve inbound service level metrics and reduce end-to-end supply chain costs. The candidate should be a motivated individual with strong analytical skills who enjoys diving into data and recommending solutions to enhance the supply chain. The keys to success will be a strong interest in teamwork and collaboration, a desire to learn, and a passion for applying analytics to decisions.

Reports to: Manager, Supply Chain - Drinking Water & Sinks

Key Focus Areas

+ Establish appropriate inventory levels (Raw, WIP and Finished Goods); with consideration for demand, re-supply or delivery lead time, storage capacities, shelf life, cost of stock and other factors. Manage inventory levels and coordinate inventory pre-builds to compensate for periods of capacity limitations and/or extended supplier lead times

+ Based on recommended inventory plans, monitor and adjust safety stock levels to meet inventory planning goals.

+ Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to better optimize inventory, inventory health, and service-level. Partners with demand planning, product management, procurement and operations to drive these improvements.

+ Manage the at-risk inventory process for assigned product categories, with ability to root cause and drive necessary corrections with suppliers and/or operations.

+ Manage and maintain master planning data attributes to ensure the effective use of the planning engine (ASCP).

+ Working with the supply chain team to determine best methodology for supply planning (ROP, Min-Max, MTS, MTO, etc.)

+ Establish/enhance key supply planning metrics surrounding inventory management and distribution management to align with overall organizational strategy.

+ Working with the supply chain/operation teams, develop item site planning based on manufacturing capabilities, inbound and outbound cost of transportation and customer requirements.

Qualifications

+ Minimum five years of experience of related supply chain experience, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field required: advanced degree a plus

+ Prefer APICS exposure and CPIM or CSCP certification

+ Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts, Inventory Management, Procurement and their application

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office with focus on advanced Excel skills and analysis with ability to manipulate and manage large volumes of data.

+ Prior MRP Planning System experience a plus; experience working with a major ERP system required

+ Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills

+ Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.

+ Ability to effectively and efficiently work in a collaborative team environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities

+ Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with various departments and levels within the company

+ Self-starter with ability to effectively operate under pressure and manage a wide variety of tasks and priorities.
