    Boeing Defense & Space (BDS)** is seeking an **associate or** **experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer** to support the **Vertical Lift (VL)** program Platform Systems team located in **Mesa AZ.

     

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and sustaining military systems and will have an electrical power background. The selected candidate will report to Electrical Power System team.

    Position** **Responsibilities:

    + Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements

    + Designs hardware, software and interface specifications

    + Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

    + Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

    + Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

    + Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs

    + Designing solutions to current and future products

    + Working with multiple teams to meet program goals

    + 10% travel as needed

     

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

     

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications** **(Required Skills & Experience):

    + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

    + 1+ years’ of experience in aircraft electrical power systems

    Preferred Qualifications** **(Desired Skills & Experience):

    + Electrical Engineering degree preferred

    + 3+ years of experience with aviation electrical power systems (3-phase AC and/or DC systems)

    + 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering

    + 3+ years’ of experience in design

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

     

    Summary pay range (level 2): $79,900 - $108,100

     

    Summary pay range (Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950
