Description

An established employer in the construction and manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior Accountant for its North Bay locations. This role supports multiple operating companies and involves broad accounting duties, including month-end close, reconciliations, variance analysis, and internal controls. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least three years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform monthly close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations

+ Oversee daily accounting operations—inventory, production entries, AP, and job cost analysis

+ Prepare monthly and annual variance analysis and key financial metrics (DSO, DPO, cash flow)

+ Maintain strong internal controls and support SOX compliance

+ Collaborate with accounting leaders across regional functions on projects and reporting

+ Support process improvements and departmental initiatives

+ Partner with transactional teams on reconciliations and performance analysis

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

+ 3+ years of accounting experience (corporate or manufacturing preferred)

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and variance analysis

+ Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency

+ Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

+ CPA, CFE, or CMA designation highly preferred

+ SQL query experience a plus

+ Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
