Purpose:

To perform incoming material inspections, in-process inspections of machined and fabricated parts, as well as support to operations.

Responsibilities:

Reviews certificates of compliance, shipping manifests and other receiving paperwork against Pos to ensure the correct items and quantities are received at the site. Enters information into the ERP system. Inspects incoming raw materials and parts, performs in-process inspections, first piece verifications and final inspections of machined parts and fabricated chassis. Follows up with stakeholder to address nonconformances and reports data to QA Management and site Leaders as directed.

Skills:

• Use of inspection equipment (plug gages, Thread gages, calipers, Micrometers, height meters, surface plates, CMM, and surface finishes (profilometers).

• Knowledge of GD&T

• CNC Machining, Punch or stamping operation &/or deburr experience (preferred)

• Knowledge of computer systems (MS Office suite, data collection & entry, KPI metrics)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Quality Control Inspector or equivalent

• Familiar with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001

• Ability to work overtime including weekends as needed to meet customer demand and on time delivery targets

• Knowledge of basic safety and quality guidelines and practices

• Effective communication and teamwork skills
