Position Overview
Leidos is seeking **Tactical Data Link (TDL) Analyst** to support the **ACCA5JI JINTACCS mission** at our customer site in **Langley, Virginia** . This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in tactical combat system information exchange requirements (IERs) and contribute to the evolution of Military Standards (MIL STDs) with minimal disruption to existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
TDL Standards Development:
+ Research, engineer, and propose updates to MIL STDs based on USAF tactical combat system IERs.
+ Develop and evaluate bit-level implementation specifications.
+ Advise software developers and testers.
+ Submit change proposals in accordance with JMTCCB TOR.
Representation & Collaboration:
+ Attend AFSIB, Joint, Bilateral, and Allied TDL meetings and working groups.
+ Represent USAF TDL objectives and analyze external proposals for system impact and interoperability.
+ Review and reconcile discrepancies in US and Allied technical documentation.
+ Develop change proposals for configuration items including MIL STD 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6090, MADL, STANAGs, ATDLPs, ADatPs, and APPs.
Testing & Analysis:
+ Assess interoperability test trouble reports and determine system impact and deficiency severity.
+ Participate in USAF Technical Analysis Groups and Joint Analysis Review Panels.
+ Draft Interface Change Proposals.
Documentation & Review:
+ Review updated MIL STDs for incorporation errors and ensure accuracy in bit-level formats and terminology.
+ Draft Technical Information Design Plan–Test Edition (TIDP-TE) documents for new TDL capabilities.
+ Review Information Support Plans (ISPs) on the JASM website for correct MIL STD references.
• **Integration & Strategy:**
+ Coordinate with USAF requirements and program offices to support TDL integration into platforms and systems.
+ Contribute to the development of operational concepts and architectures using current and emerging capabilities.
Technical Writing & Research:
+ Prepare background papers, staff studies, talking papers, and presentation materials as directed by the Government.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science) and 2 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
+ Strong ability to interpret and extract key information from complex technical documents.
+ Preferred Minimum Clearance: Favorably completed Tier 1 (T1) investigation; desired (Tier 3 / Secret)
+ Experience in one of the following USAF disciplines:
+ Rated Air Battle Manager with AWACS, JSTARS, or CRC experience
+ Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO)
+ 2+ years in JINTACCS TDL Standards management

Pay Range:
Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
