Responsibilities
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate charge capture, reconciliation, and reporting across various hospital departments. The scope includes:
+ Collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources to develop reports and statistical information.
+ Entering, posting, and reconciling charges for clinical areas, including supporting inpatient units, procedure areas, and labs as needed.
+ Reviewing information for accuracy and reconciling data on a regular basis.
+ Compiling analytical and statistical reports on a regular basis and overseeing provision of ad hoc management reports.
+ Providing support and education to staff on accessing reports and interpreting data.
+ Assisting department managers with charge reconciliation to ensure compliance.
+ Serving as backup during staff absences or onboarding of new team members.
Requirements
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
+ Comfortable working with leaders at multiple levels and collaborating across teams.
+ Experience with charge reconciliation, coding, or revenue cycle processes.
+ Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
+ Detail-oriented and able to identify errors or discrepancies in data and reports.
