JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the setting up of all fixtures, cutting tools and gage operation that pertain to the secondary operations department; in addition to filling, it as a back-up to the supervisor.

Reports to: CNC Machining Supervisor / Manager

Essential Functions of the Job:

+ Able to perform the functions of the CNC Operator.

+ Assists with monthly inventory and able to train new operators

+ Responsible for maintaining fixtures and tools safe and operational

+ Monitors the cutting tool inventories of the machining department & provide detailed information to purchasing when reordering

+ Sharpens cutting tools as required

+ Responsible for keeping fixture and tool storage clean and orderly

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities:

+ Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

+ Able to work without close supervision and ability to multi-task.

+ Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.

+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred

+ Solid understanding of blueprints and specifically GD&T is required.

+ 1-2 Years of experience operating CNC machines and mechanical tools required.

+ Must be willing to attend classes or training seminars pertaining to this position

+ First Responder Certified
