Position Overview :

The Special Projects Coordinator supports strategic initiatives that elevate youth voice and strengthen family engagement across the agency. This role leads and coordinates special projects, facilitates programs that promote youth leadership, education, and employment opportunities, and informs staff practices. The coordinator manages youth groups, supervises interns, and collaborates across departments to ensure programming reflects the interests and goals of young people and their families. The role also provides administrative and project management support for community-based and agency-wide initiatives.

The coordinator co-chairs the agency’s LGBTQ+ Committee and oversees the Gender and Sexual-orientation Alliance (GSA) program, while managing cross-departmental efforts to foster an affirming and responsive organizational culture.

This position requires compassion, ingenuity, creativity, and strong organizational skills.

Position Qualifications:

Experience with curating and facilitating youth programming. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Skilled collaborator committed to high achievement, effective cross functional communicator, and a solution-oriented professional with the ability to adapt to youth and program needs to influence transformational change. NYS Driver’s License Required.
