    Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

     

    As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing mechanical designs, including technical drawings and associated measurement systems. Collaborate with Design Engineering and Manufacturing teams to integrate a Design for Manufacture & Assembly and Design to Cost perspective during verification. You will also be responsible for driving capital equipment requests and qualifications, conducting labor and process studies, and leading yield improvements.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze mechanical designs, including technical drawings and associated measurement systems.

    + Collaborate with Design Engineering and Manufacturing to integrate Design for Manufacture & Assembly and Design to Cost perspectives during verification.

    + Drive capital equipment requests and qualifications.

    + Conduct labor and process studies, leading yield improvements and reducing variability.

    + Support manufacturing in resolving technical problems and lead cost reduction initiatives.

    + Perform root cause analyses and implement product fixes, modifications, and design enhancements.

    + Ensure process and design changes are documented and adhere to industry quality standards.

    + Author and update technical and process documentation as required.

    + Analyze labor data against existing standards and propose corrective actions for large variances.

    + Develop and maintain positive rapport and working relationships with personnel across the organization.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.

    + In-depth knowledge of creating 2D and 3D drawings and related Bill of Materials.

    + Experience in creating process flow diagrams and process control plans.

    + Proficiency in authoring PFMEAs.

    + Project management skills with strong organizational and time management abilities.

    + High initiative with the ability to work independently and problem-solve with minimal supervision.

    + Strong work ethic and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

    + Interpersonal skills to interact with staff at all levels within and external to the organization.

    + Preferred experience in Single Use Consumable design and development, Biotech device development, Process characterization using Design of Experiments, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

    Work Environment

    This role requires collaboration with key company personnel and external partners. You will work in a dynamic environment that supports initiatives to execute product improvements and enhancements. The position demands a strong work ethic and effective communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and interact with staff at all levels.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Camarillo, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
