Job Title: Artillery Vehicle Sr Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The Artillery Vehicle Sr Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for evaluating prototype designs and creating production drawings that comply with industry and U.S. Government specifications. The role involves supporting design reviews and meetings, as well as developing and maintaining product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PTC Creo modeling software. The engineer will perform complex design, development, analysis, and product assurance tasks for project portions of limited complexity. Additionally, solving moderately complex engineering problems without clearly defined precedents is expected.

Responsibilities

+ Evaluate prototype designs and create production drawings compliant with industry and U.S. Government specifications.

+ Support design reviews and meetings.

+ Create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PTC Creo modeling software.

+ Perform complex engineering design, development, analysis, and product assurance tasks for assigned project portions.

+ Solve moderately complex engineering problems with limited precedents.

+ Review drawings and associated Bills of Materials (BOMs) and identify necessary corrections.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in PTC Creo with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

+ Strong understanding of military and commercial design standards with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

+ Experience in reviewing drawings and Bills of Materials with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and Y14.5 standards.

+ Excellent customer relationship and communication skills.

+ B.S. degree in a relevant technical discipline, typically mechanical or aerospace engineering.

Work Environment

This position is 100% on-site in York, PA, known for producing world-class combat vehicles. The work schedule follows a 9/80 arrangement, offering opportunities for career development through mentorship, training, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.67/hr.
