Jacobs is seeking a Project/Design Manager to support the planning, design, and delivery of vertical projects in Davie, Florida. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional with 10-15 years of experience in design and project management, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful project execution.
As a Project/Design Manager, you will oversee design development, coordinate with construction teams, and manage client expectations to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. You’ll play a key role in driving technical excellence, maintaining schedules and budgets, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate all phases of project and design planning, execution, and closeout in alignment with Jacobs’ delivery processes.
* Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements while maintaining client satisfaction.
* Provide leadership and guidance to design teams, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client objectives.
* Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate design and build phases effectively.
* Prepare project forecasts, progress reports, and risk assessments for internal and client review.
* Mentor and support junior staff to develop future leaders within the organization.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
* 10-15 years of experience in design and project management for vertical projects.
* Strong understanding of design standards, regulatory compliance, and project delivery methods.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ideally, you'll also have
* Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license.
* Experience with alternative delivery methods such as Design-Build and CMAR.
* Familiarity with vertical construction or community-focused buildings projects.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
* Previous experience with tribal or municipal projects and federally funded programs.
