Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. This role requires expertise in welding and mechanical troubleshooting, especially with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

+ Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components.

+ Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit.

+ Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment and assist in rebuilding related equipment.

+ Assist in the installation of new plant equipment.

+ Maintain production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to ensure the safe and timely manufacture of quality coatings.

+ Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment.

+ Conduct maintenance for programmable logic controller-based equipment.

+ Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure the operation of all equipment in an efficient and safe manner.

+ Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe.

+ Participate in the completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed.

Essential Skills

+ 2-4+ years of professional maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Experience with performing preventive maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems.

+ Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members.

+ Capability to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in welding and fabrication, including stick and wire feed techniques.

+ Mechanical troubleshooting skills involving hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Experience with facilities, repair, and fabrication.

+ Knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures.

+ Experience in forklift and engine repair, as well as gearbox maintenance.

Work Environment

This position operates on a day shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, in an industrial manufacturing environment that is subject to current weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WILSONVILLE, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
