Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician (2nd Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. The role involves assisting in the mechanical and electrical builds of customer products, with a focus on reading and understanding wiring schematics and diagrams. Experience with crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing electrical harnesses and subassemblies is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, including panel wiring, while adhering to safety, quality, and customer specifications.
+ Assemble finished units per customer specifications, including pulling wire, crimping, installing, and testing wiring and wiring harnesses using voltmeter and ohmmeter.
+ Perform part replacement on tools as needed and according to schedule.
+ Resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels.
+ Work under direct, close supervision, with output monitored frequently.
+ Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics.
+ Ensure the assigned area is clean and organized per 5S standards.
+ Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
+ Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members to accomplish.
+ Keep inventory personnel informed of spare parts inventory and locations for ease of order fulfillment.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and diagrams.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools for electrical assembly.
+ Experience in electrical testing and electronics.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Proficient in using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Schooling experience in lieu of hands-on experience is acceptable (TCAT, Delta Tech, Moore Tech, Southwest).
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
+ Experience with large, intricate units, each taking approximately 5 weeks to complete.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment with 25 cell stations and large working areas. Join a team of 5-7 technicians per work cell to assemble units per specification. The role requires working from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am or 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, with occasional shifts on Saturdays. Overtime is expected, but no more than 58 hours per week. Tools and materials are provided for assembly, and the department is growing rapidly, requiring quick-paced training.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.15 - $31.80/hr.
