Robert Half (Technology Solutions) is searching for a Cloud Network Engineer with a background in Palo Alto Implementations, Panorama, AWS, SD-WAN, Routing Protocols, etc. If this sounds like your background, then this Cloud Network Engineer role is for you. Position: Cloud Network Engineer

Hours/Duration: 40 hrs/wk, M-F, FTE

Responsibilities:

+ Design, configure, and manage routing protocols, including advanced route maps and configurations.

+ Implement and maintain Cisco-based switching solutions to ensure optimal network performance.

+ Administer and troubleshoot wireless network systems, focusing on Cisco wireless technologies.

+ Manage and secure firewall systems, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, and Cisco ASA devices.

+ Provide expert-level support for cloud networking components such as route tables, direct connections, transit gateways, and internet gateways.

+ Collaborate on cloud networking setups, particularly within AWS and Azure environments.

+ Optimize network infrastructure by integrating advanced technologies and adhering to best practices.

+ Conduct regular network performance assessments and recommend improvements.

+ Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and security protocols.

+ Support the migration and implementation of new systems as required.

Requirements

+ Routing: Expert in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Route-Maps, etc.

+ Switching: Expert in Cisco Switching

+ Wireless: Expert in Cisco Wireless

+ Firewalls: Expert in Palo Alto Firewalls + Panorama. Cisco ASA firewalls is preferred

+ SD-WAN: Expert understanding of the technology. Palo Alto Prisma / SD-WAN is preferred

+ AWS: Expertise in Route Tables, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, Internet Gateways, etc.

+ Cloud Networking: Knowledge of AWS / Azure / OCI Networking

+ Additional: ZTNA, VPC, VNET, VLAN, NAC, VWAN, Least Privilege, Network Segmentation
