We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer I/II/III for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This Engineering position provides electrical engineering support to the Facilities Engineering and Construction project teams. Responsibilities will include all phases of electrical design, testing, and commissioning including reviewing P&IDs, electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, power and load studies, electrical bills of materials, and engineered equipment, creating and reviewing facility electrical specifications and procurement data sheets, overseeing field installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment required for facility operation. The role requires frequent short term travel (1-3 days).
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
+ 5 years of engineering experience in relevant industries.
+ Experience with development or review of facility P&IDs.
+ Good organization, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, contractors, agency personnel, and the public
+ Ability to travel for a period of 3-5 days for project related activities.
+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
+ 0-3 years of Project Management experience at an midstream operating company.
+ 0-5 years of engineering experience.
+ Contract execution and conformance experience.
+ Experience preparing and managing project scopes, budgets, forecasts, schedules, and contracts
+ Experience with the design and planning of natural gas or pipeline liquids related facilities and equipment.
+ Experience with FERC and PHMSA or other federal permitting processes.
+ Experience managing environmental permitting for linear infrastructure under NEPA, USACE, USFWS, and state agencies
+ Experience with public relations and ability to represent the company in public meetings, landowner discussions, and agency consultations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
+ PE, PMP
