    THE POSITION

    Are you a self-starter, ready to make a difference in the area of finance? Lehigh County is eager to welcome a Budget Analyst 2 to join the team. This is a great opportunity to work in the fiscal field focusing on budget analysis and review for our Intellectual Disabilities department. If you are an analytically minded professional with a comprehensive understanding of how fiscal policies affect the delivery of government programs and services, we want to talk with you!

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    The Budget Analyst 2 is responsible for activities related to the administration and implementation of the Virtual Allocation Multiyear Growth Strategy. This includes budget analysis, service utilization review, and preparation of capacity adjustment requests to support long-term planning and ensure alignment with state funding requirements. You can expect to utilize available budget management tools and key financial data to conduct analyses of program budgets and identify trends. Work involves analyzing service utilization data to determine if level of utilization meets standards set by the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support quarterly capacity adjustment requests. You will have the opportunity to perform duties related to Housing Initiative and Incident Management. Our team will rely on you to perform key administrative functions that support compliance with quality standards and service timeliness, as outlined in the state and county operating agreement. These responsibilities are directly tied to the state's allocation of administrative funding to the ID/A program at the county level.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time employment

    + Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + One year of experience as a Budget Analyst I;or

    + Two years of experience in technical budget administration work, and a bachelor's degree;or

    + Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
