    System One is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Tampa, FL!

     

    We’re looking for a mid-level engineer (3–4+ years of experience) who is eager to take ownership of electrical design projects supporting high-tech simulation systems.

    Position Overview

    The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting electrical systems for advanced training and simulation devices. This includes AC/DC power distribution, I/O integration, and interfacing with avionics and trainer hardware using protocols such as MIL-1553, ARINC-429, and Ethernet.

     

    You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure fully integrated, manufacturable solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design and document AC/DC power distribution, grounding, I/O, and network systems

    + Integrate avionics and simulator hardware using various communication protocols

    + Specify and source hardware components; interface with vendors and suppliers

    + Produce clear electrical schematics and documentation for manufacturing

    + Support design reviews, requirements reviews, and acceptance testing with customers

    + Present designs and progress updates to internal and external stakeholders

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

    + 3–4+ years of hands-on experience in hardware or electrical system design

    + Proficiency in AC/DC power distribution, grounding, and I/O system design

    + Familiarity with networking, KVM, Emergency Power Off, Overheat, and Audio designs

    + Strong documentation and communication skills

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

    Preferred Experience

    + Knowledge of flight simulators or related systems a strong plus

    + Experience with Altium Design and PCB design tools

    + Exposure to Embedded C/C++ programming desirable

    + Prior experience in manufacturing or defense-related environments (e.g., Jabil, electronics, or hardware-based roles)
