Job Title: QC Microbiology Lab Technician
Type: Contract
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 8 AM- 5 PM M-F
Responsibilities:
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a variety of microbiology functions under minimal supervision. These functions include:
+ Microbiological Sampling and Testing
+ Environmental Monitoring
+ Microbial Plate Counting
+ Sample Management: including receipt and shipment of samples
+ General Lab Support: housekeeping, monitoring and maintaining lab supplies inventory
+ Documentation of all activities according to current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and internal SOPs
+ Perform sample collection and testing of environmental surface/air and utilities.
+ Use a wide variety of sophisticated equipment with responsibility for operation, maintenance, and daily calibration check (if appropriate).
+ Prepare documentation of all laboratory work in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs, as appropriate.
+ Ensure all laboratory work is conducted in compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
+ Maintain inventory of all laboratory chemicals and consumables.
+ Maintain sample submission area as well as shipment of samples to external laboratories
Requirements
+ Bachelors in Biology/Microbiology or equivalent discipline. Preferred candidates will also have appropriate experience (typically 0 - 3 years), OR Associate degree or High School Diploma with appropriate equivalent experience (typically 3 + years)
+ Knowledge and experience with analytical and microbiological techniques.
+ Knowledge of cGMPs and laboratory safety.
+ Experience working in a cGMP laboratory.
+ Experience with aseptic sample collection and microbial testing.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
