About the role
As a **Salesforce QA Engineer** , you will make an impact by ensuring the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications through robust testing strategies. You will be a valued member of the **Technology & Engineering** team and work collaboratively with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to validate complex Salesforce implementations across multiple clouds and integrations.
In this role, you will:
+ Design and execute manual and automated test cases across Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
+ Validate complex data relationships, field-level security, and automation logic within Salesforce.
+ Test integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, and CTI systems.
+ Create test scenarios for Flows, Process Builder, and Validation Rules to identify edge conditions.
+ Ensure security compliance by testing profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and role-based access.
+ Perform quality assurance across Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Experience Cloud, and custom portals.
+ Automate regression and smoke tests using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Provar, TestNG, or Copado Robotic Testing.
+ Develop and maintain reusable test scripts and realistic data sets for scalable QA practices.
+ Validate system behavior under Salesforce governor limits and performance constraints.
+ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Flosum, or Copado.
Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 to 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Bridgewater, NJ. What you need to have to be considered:
+ Extensive experience with manual and automated testing in Salesforce.
+ Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling and business processes.
+ Hands-on experience testing Salesforce integrations and APIs.
+ Familiarity with declarative tools like Flows, Process Builder, and Validation Rules.
+ Knowledge of Salesforce security model and access controls.
+ Experience with Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Experience Cloud, and custom portals.
+ Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Provar, TestNG, or Copado Robotic Testing.
+ Ability to write and maintain robust test scripts and data sets.
+ Understanding of Salesforce best practices and governance limits.
+ Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
These will help you stand out:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
+ Salesforce certifications related to QA or platform development.
+ Experience with healthcare domain (Provider and Payer) is a plus.
+ Familiarity with performance testing and load testing tools.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $80,100 - $108,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
