_Senior Java FSE with AWS (Hybrid)_

About the role

As a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by Being a a proxy between client and offshore. You will be a valued member in Cognizant's team and work collaboratively with Banking and financial stakeholders.

In this Role you will:

+ Develop and maintain robust software applications using Java and JavaScript to meet business requirements in the Cards & Payments domain.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions leveraging AWS cloud services.

+ Implement best practices in software development to ensure high-quality code and efficient performance.

+ Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure smooth operation of software applications.

+ Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.

+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.

+ Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols to protect sensitive data.

+ Document technical specifications and project requirements for future reference.

+ Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers as needed.

+ Engage in regular communication with stakeholders to understand project goals and deliverables.

+ Test and validate software solutions to ensure they meet the required standards and functionality.

**Work model** : Hybrid

**Location** : Richmond - VA

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client office in Richmond - VA. What you need to have to be considered:

+ Possess strong expertise in **AWS Java and JavaScript** with a proven track record in software development.

+ Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Cards & Payments domain and its specific requirements.

+ Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a hybrid work model.

+ Show proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

+ Have a solid understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until **10/24/2025.**

The annual salary for this position is between **$68K – $125K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.**

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
