    FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS' AFFAIRS

    Alwyn C. Cashe State Veterans’ Nursing Home

     

    Orlando, Orange County, FL.

     

    Annual Salary: $36,429.90

     

    Shift: Weekdays 8am-4:30pm

     

    Paid Bi-Weekly

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Must be able to communicate effectively in English; writing, speaking, reading & understanding.

    + Must have basic computer skills.

    + Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings (level II background and drug test).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + One year clerical experience (college education/vocational training can substitute for required training).

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND EXPECTATIONS:

    + The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Nursing Home Administrator and will provide professional administrative support, specific to human resource functions within a state veteran nursing home.

    + Assists the Personnel Tech III with administrative and clerical functions;

    + Creating documents

    + Maintaining files

    + Placing and receiving phone calls from applicants

    + Works independently, exercises judgment with self-discipline, and takes appropriate action.

    + Will communicate with others to obtain and verify information.

    + Perform administrative support duties to include but not limited to scheduling interviews for human resource staff, and management staff.

    + Provide relief for other clerical staff within the home.

    + Perform other related duties as required.
