    School Social Worker | $50–$70/hr | Full-Time | San Jose, CA | Oct 2025–May 2026

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time School Social Worker to provide Educationally Related Mental Health Services for high school students in San Jose, CA. This in-person role begins October 1, 2025, and runs for 182 school days through the end of the academic year.

    Position Overview:

    + Location: San Jose, CA

    + Start Date: October 1, 2025

    + Duration: 182 school days

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35–37.5 hrs/week

    + Pay Rate: $50–$70/hr (based on license level)

    + Interview: Virtual

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide mental health services to high school students

    + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IHP/IEP development

    + Deliver social work interventions in an educational setting

    + Participate in planning and implementation of student support programs

    Requirements:

    + Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement (required)

    + MSW, ASW, or LCSW (as required by state or district)

    + CPR, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    + Supervision hours cannot be provided
