    As a **Project Management Specialist II** here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in managing and executing projects that drive operational excellence and efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

     

    You will report directly to our Project Management Manager, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires will report onsite M-F.

     

    In this role, you will impact the organization by leading project initiatives that enhance productivity and streamline processes. Your contributions will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Assist in the management of all assigned customer change orders throughout the life cycle of a given project

    + Work with a sense of urgency; proactively engage with project management/legal and support lead Program Managers when dealing with matters of project scope of work, performance, and schedule change

    + Administer existing customer contracts with interaction with Legal, Program, Project, and Cost/Estimating Teams

    + Support broader Customer Change Control Team in the triage of inbound change requests, including the creation and reconciliation of change orders in our systems

    + Maintain, analyze, and update change order records and support project forecasting

    + Engage in regular communications with internal stakeholders; communicate change order status during PMR and cross-functional meetings

    + Prepare, analyze, and evaluate change orders and proposals to ensure they are compliant with company policy, program requirements, and department operating procedures

    + Respond to data calls and support all internal and external audit activities

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + 2+ years of procurement/contracts administration

    + Experience in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously

    + Strong negotiation and contract management skills

    + Familiarity with Salesforce and/or a comparable CRM tool

    WE VALUE

    + Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

    + Experience utilizing MS Office Suite, Oracle, and other business tools used in the execution of subcontracts management activities

    + Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of program lifecycle

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    + Strong organizational skills
