    + JOB REQUIREMENTS

    + Education

    + A Masters degree in nursing is required. Licensed by Arkansas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Clinical Nurse Specialist. Certification by national certifying body with prescriptive privileges. ACLS certification required. BLS and ACLS from AHA. Possess or working toward certification as a Cardiometabolic Provider and Advanced Clinician in the field of Preventive Cardiology.

    + Experience

    + Three to five years experience in hospital medicine preferred. P rior cardiac, lipid, renal, hypertension and prevention training or employment. Relevant experience can be approved by the VP of the Cardiac service line. M ust possess current knowledge of the Advanced nursing process and its application as it relates to diagnosis, evaluation, assessment, and plan of those patients suffering from Cardiometabolic Disease and its interrelated disease processes. Must possess current knowledge or be willing to obtain within 12 months the education related to lipidology. Licensed to prescribe controlled substance by the DEA and is in good standing.

    + Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. May be exposed to airborne and infectious materials. Required to stand, walk, sit, push and pull, use fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands and arms. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

    + JOB SUMMARY

    + Advanced Practice Provider directing he care to patients seeking to participate in preventive care. Providing, directing, and collaborating on the care of those individuals suffering from Cardiometabolic Disease. Functions in the Director Role as a Clinical Advanced Practice Nurse Leader in the SBMC SBHV Cardiometabolic & Prevention Provider and Director. Provides safe, competent quality care based on advanced nursing theory and research to patients that are at risk for ASCVD and/or suffer from the combination of obesity, hypertension, renal disease, elevated cholesterol, diabetes, inflammation, and sedentary activity levels (Cardiometabolic Disease). Provides leadership to the Cardiometabolic clinical team and directs the associated interdisciplinary team.
